Halvorson and Partners was formed in 1996 and was a 40-person Chicago-based firm that provided structural engineering services. It has completed structural designs for projects such as the Burj Mohammed Bin Rashid Tower in Abu Dhabi, which won the 2015 Best Tall Building Award for the Middle East and Africa from the CTBUH, apartment tower OneEleven in Chicago, Vantone Tower in Tianjin, China, and Cepsa Tower in Madrid, Spain.

In 2015, WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization, acquired Halvorson and Partners.
